Dear Jesus Christ and Father, I wake up with a heavy heart this morning as I meditate on your very words. It is through our own disobedience and falling away from your Law and your ways, have we grown in much disgrace and much shame. Lord, there are some things that we have already grown up in that we just couldn’t explain, understand or come to terms with. Confused in our thoughts, we may have also done things far from the standard that You have called us to be. But there is nothing too far off from You that You do not already know. For You paid the ultimate price of our shame, even at the hands of your own. You knew how we would be. You perceived the wicked thoughts that we inflict on one another as a family. After all, You did highlight brotherly love as the greatest commandment of them all. Not keeping your commandment is what keeps the hurt of shame alive. But by this very shame, have we come to know who we truly are. For no one would properly show us who we were and how far we have fallen from such grace, falling out of agreement with You and You are a Covenant making Covenant keeping God. Only You Lord, our Father do this in the truth that You revealed to us ahead of time. Father, it is in You, that we come out of our shame. It is in You that You finally reveal yourself to your true children. We do not hold our true identify as one in shame, but You have called us forth to be bearers of Your light. Help us O Lord to know You more and more each day. Counsel us on the ways we should go. For many are the afflictions of our heart, but You deliver us from every one, if only we cling to your Word. Lord help us to trust You more and believe less and less about what the world speaks about us and even does to us. All we have known is a life full of shame. We knew no other. We don’t know how to love sometimes. We can’t speak of brotherly love sometimes, when we still bear the pain of our shame in our hearts. Lord, You alone know that pain that we bear. Help us in times of confusion that You clear our thoughts in mind, holding captive to every thought, being the captain of our soul and ship. Help us to navigate peacefully such that we live in the peace that You give to us; the peace that surpasses all understanding, which guards our heart and mind in changing circumstances. I forgive those who have hurt me in previous times, but You alone O Lord can give us the type of grace to cover all forgiveness. I ask for forgiveness for I have done things that I am not too proud to speak about. My own shame has lived with me for such a long time, holding my mind in prison and living with the weight of oppression. It is You O Lord who set my heart free from these very oppressive thoughts and I praise your Holy Name for such things. It is through your truth, can I be made free and has brought me so much more understanding and relief. Lord, I care no longer for what the world thinks of me. I only care that I stay in your sight and stay in your way. I only look to You for love and compassion. I look to You as my shield and cover. I look to You as my strength and Redeemer. I look to You for support and I look forward to the brotherly love that You will place in our hearts, once we finally come again into agreement and alignment with your words. Please hear our cries and the cries of our ancestors. For we still carry the pain of their shame. We still carry the memory of that pain. Only You alone can heal our land. Raise our head O Lord. Lift us up. Raise us once more as your children, bringing us to the standard that You have called us to be. This is my hope. In You, help us to remain obedient to your word. Do a new thing in us O Lord, for we suffer much in our ignorance. We suffer when we do not know. Bring light to our heart. Let your light show in what we say and what we do. Be our source of guiding light forever and ever and ever until eternal’s end. Thanking You in Jesus Name, This I pray, Amen. 13.06.23 |
