Seek me with all your heart and with all your soul. And when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray in secret. Your Father already knows what you need, even before you ask. Your Father who sees what is kept secret will reward you.
Listen, my dear. Forgive the mistakes of your neighbour and you may ask that your sins also be forgiven. If you forgive others their wrongs, I too, will forgive you.
And when you fast, do not put on a miserable face. Be cheerful and of good courage! Your Father who sees what is kept secret will reward you.
And when you give, do not have it trumpeted before you. Do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your gift remains secret. Your Father who sees what is kept secret will reward you.
Honour me with a generous heart. Offer your gift with a smiling face and when you do, do it gladly. Remember, my dear, that returning kindness is an offering of fine flour; giving alms is a sacrifice of praise. Be of good cheer! 22.04.24
