|| Riding the Wave
The feeling that sometimes come to greet one. That feeling nearest the gut. That gut feeling. What may one do, when that feeling appears? It may come on as the greatest avalanche, overwhelming the one who carries it. Yet, nothing ever can he really do in that instant besides riding the wave of his life, as best as he can.
Thinking on that sensation.
Usually, when this wave comes, it may be a sign that some part of you is changing. Changes, though, are not always bad ones, as they come as signs of growth. Growth can be uncomfortable. As uncomfortable as shedding layers skin deep, breaking forth new layers that begin to form the surface.
When that wave comes, as it most certainly comes, embrace the wave, just as it is. Think not on it either positively or even negatively, just neutrally as much as change is quite necessary. Experience the turbulence that bellow within as you prepare yourself mentally to assume your next level for growth and development.
Thinking on that sensation.
- What exactly does it feel like?
- Does it bring on a positive or negative emotion?
- Isolate the emotion further. If negative, can it be instead looked on in a more positive light? How can this view change?
- What thought underpins this emotion? Is it in the past, the present or the future?
- Is this thought fact or fiction?
