Counsel is like deep water in the heart, the discerning man has only to draw it out. Listen to counsel and accept correction, and you will be wise in the end. The child reveals himself in his deeds; whether his actions are honest and upright. Man’s spirit is my lamp which searches the hidden places of the heart. A clever man is slow to anger; his glory lies in forgetting offenses. Never say, “I will take revenge.” I save the one who trusts in me. The one who listens to my word will find happiness; blessed is that one who trusts in me. For the one whose heart is wise will be proclaimed discerning; moderate speech brings knowledge. Good sense is a life-giving fountain to those who possess it. The discerning one foresees danger and takes cover. Happy is that one whose own conscience does not condemn him and who has not fallen from his ideals. The prudent man is cautious in everything. 24.05.24
