An Exercise to Develop Intuition
How may one develop intuition?
Easy. I share with you this learning technique. In fact, I am now using my intuition to guide me to prepare this teaching. This is the message that I received.
Step 1. Take a piece of paper with a pen or pencil.
Step 2. Determine the question that you want answered. (It could be anything. You may either decide to play it safe or go out on a limb. There is only one condition: You must GENUINELY want to know the answer to that question.)
EXAMPLE:
How am I going to write a short note on Intuitive Learning?
Step 3. Write the question down in the form of a statement. Complete the statement with a blank space indicated by a lowercase dash symbol (_).
EXAMPLE:
I am going to write a short note on Intuitive Learning and this is how I am going to do it: _
Step 4. Rest the question down and continue about your day. Pretend that you never started the exercise in the first place.
Step 5. Now this is a crucial step! Do not, by any means, be tempted to use any AI (Artificial Intelligence) assisted device that may help to get you closer to the answer. No peeking! Don’t do it! Don’t look up the answer! Trust that your mind will give you the answer one day. Have patience with the self.
Step 6. Wait for your answer to show up on the screen of your mind. This may take the form of words, images, or a string of random thoughts put together in series. It may also be taken from an old memory or a really recent one. It may also be heard from another person's mouth. There are many possible ways to receive the answer. What is more important is that you wait. This may take seconds, minutes, hours, days, months or even up to many years. The point is to wait until you get a response that sits well with you and you feel satisfied with the response. Do not rush the process.
Step 7. Once the answer shows up in your mind, you can then cross check it with your favourite AI assisted device to determine how severely off or how incredibly close you were to the response.
Step 8. One may choose to elevate this challenge by replacing the AI assisted device with the readings from Scripture.
This is a fun game to determine how much one trusts his thoughts and feelings.
This may also be a game to sharpens one’s spiritual and general discernment.
Let the games begin!

|| Open Book
I tell you. When you first look to open a book, browsing through its contents page, you have already done 90 percent of the work. Keep focusing on that contents page. It serves as a mind map and mind navigation tool before you even open the book’s first chapter.
Most naturally, when you meditate on the headings of those chapters and subheadings, some thoughts will come to mind.
You either:
1. already know what is going to be said
2. probably have a slight idea, but your curiosity helps you to extrapolate what you think might be there or
3. have no clue what it can possibly be about and now you are adamant to find out what is there.
This is the first step to learning something new; building one’s curiosity.
It is curiosity that drives our learning, whether we think it or not.
For all the mind is trying to do is fill gaps and bridge patches of knowledge.
It is why I tell you, by meditating on the contents page, you have already done most of the work.
On reading the book, all that you are going to do is prove your first assumptions to be right or wrong or inconclusive against the author’s findings. That is, whether you agree, disagree, or take an indifferent stance with the author’s view.
But, of course, some authors still leave you hanging at the end of the reading trip. All he does is build your greater curiosity. Now, you go in search of his other books.
Here is the trick. Don’t continue reading. Change the book. For he will keep leading you down that road, keeping your curiosity unsatiated. Better search for the True Author who will just tell you in one piece. For He writes his Script in just wanting to tell you His story. No strings attached. For His very life is an Open Book.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
I reflect on the words taken from the first book of John Chapter five:
13 I write you, then, all these things that you may know that you have eternal life, all you who believe in the Name of the Son of God.
14 Through Him we are fully confident that whatever we ask according to His Will, He will grant us.
15 If we know that He hears us whenever we ask, we know that we already have what we asked of Him.
20 We know that the Son of God has come and has given us power to know the truth. We are in him who is true, his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
Though I read from these words, I ask myself. What is the real objective here? Why do I need to ask questions in the first place? That is a very good question. Most persons don’t just blindly ask questions because they love to ask for no other reason. So, then I ask myself? What causes someone to start asking questions.
Well, I study my own self and very well appreciate when my plethora of questions started to flow through me. I asked and I asked, but of, course not always may one find the answer. But I trust now, why I ask a question in the first place. When one is in darkness, the only logical next step is to focus on the light. It is almost automatic. When one becomes buried in confusion, he begins to ask questions.
Why is this happening to me?
Why am I the only one?
When will this pain end?
One begins to ask questions in the heat of discomfort. When one is thrown into the deeper end, there is no choice but to start asking questions. One is drawn to ask a question when he simply just wants to know. For me, I define my darkness to be Confusion and I see Knowledge as my Light. It is through deep inspiration, when one finally begins to start asking questions.
I read from the book of John Chapter one:
9 For the [Light] was coming into the world, the [true Light] that enlightens everyone.
5 [Light] that shines in the dark: [Light] that darkness could not overcome.
12 But all who have received [Him] He empowers to become children of God for they believe in [His Name]
17 For God had given us the Law through Moses, but [Truth and Loving Kindness] came through [Jesus Christ]
31 I myself did not know [Him], but I came baptizing to prepare for [Him], so that [He] might be revealed in Israel.
Now I read backwards, from this same book. I go a few verses up. I read.
10 [He] was already in the world and through [Him] the world was made, the very world that did not know [Him].
3 All things were made through [Him] and without [Him] nothing came to be...
2 [He] was in the beginning with God.
1 In the beginning was [the Word]. And [the Word] was with God and [the Word] was [God].
From the above verses, it is clear that the signature of the Father formed the fingerprints of the earth, for He Himself made the earth. He left his mark and print wherever and however across the face of the earth and even to its core. Yet the world knew nothing of how the earth and the skies came to be. The world simply does not recognize the Author of Life. In Jesus, He walked the earth; the very earth which He created. He walks through the earth as Christ, Lord and Master. The Architect and Designer of Life walks through His own creation.
No one has ever seen God, but God-the-Only-Son made Him known: the One who is in and with the Father. (John 1: 18)
So, now I go back to my first question: What is the question? What exactly am I asking?
Now, I go back round in circles.
Most times, one asks a question when he simply just wants to know.
So, now, I think I have found my answer. I isolate just one verse from these verses. I re-read:
31 I myself did not know [Him], but I came baptizing to prepare for [Him], so that [He] might be revealed in Israel.
These words are the words spoken by John the Baptist. He highlights, for me, a clue as to the point of even asking in the first place. He uses the word ‘revealed’. Which for me, signifies something that must have been initially hidden. In fact, the final book of the collection of books that were chosen, prepared and bound as Scripture is the book of Revelation. It means that there is something hidden that needs to be finally revealed and it will. I see this as the main objective and final destination; REVELATION. So, asking is the connecting piece and element that importantly serves to assist in arriving much closer to completing the main objective and reaching the final destination.
What now makes sense to me, that did not much earlier in my learnings is that in the end, God reveals Himself. This IS the final destination. However, if one simply asks the necessary questions, they may come to some conclusion much earlier rather than later. God wants to be revealed. This is His final scene. It means then, that He has also hidden Himself in the world and it is for His children to start searching so that much may be revealed to them. He hides Himself in His Word.
I go back to the first book of John Chapter five:
20 We know that the Son of God has come and has given us power to know the truth...
So, what is the Truth?
I deduce from all of the above verses.
Truth (+ Loving Kindness) = The Light
= The Word
= Jesus Christ
= Knowledge of Jesus Christ
13 I write you, then, all these things that you may know that you have eternal life, all you who believe in the Name of the Son of God.
14 Through Him we are fully confident that whatever we ask according to His Will, He will grant us.
15 If we know that He hears us whenever we ask, we know that we already have what we asked of Him.

|| The Discoverer's Sojourn
The Discoverer must first discover that he himself is a discoverer. For this reason, nothing is handed to him on a platter; he will not appreciate this. He must recognize that he, indeed is a discoverer, for this is his name. Then will value be added unto him.
He usually reflects on a clear mind, all that has been added unto him and through his writings, can he uncover all that was gifted to him. His whole mission is to learn and discover, for a scholar he is. He values learning and even more learning is added unto him, much like the concatenation of thoughts, strung along in sequence.
In his more silent moments, he receives clarity of mind, and goes over something in his mind on repeated accounts until he has found his solution. Discovering is his work, it is who he is. He mixes curiosity with unyielding determination and on discovering, receives sheer joy. He records all that he must go through in a day. If anyone adds to his thought process, it throws him off and he must start all over again.
He continually works towards the end of discovering. For him, learning is experiential. He needs to try in order to learn. Then can he reflect, to consistently improve upon each trial. Once he finally discovers the thing most valuable to his life, in his most private space and time, then and only then, will he himself be discovered to ultimately be uncovered. Then he dies. For his name has been fulfilled.

Death found all these people strong in their faith. They had not received what was promised, but they had looked ahead and had rejoiced in it from afar, saying that they were foreigners and travelers on earth. Those who speak in this way prove that they are looking for their own country. For if they had longed for the land they had left, it would have been easy for them to return, but no, they aspired to a better city, that is, a supernatural one; so God, who prepared the city for them is not ashamed of being called their God. (Hebrews 11: 13- 16)
This is the Discoverer’s Sojourn.
Jesus Christ waits to be revealed, as part of His unfolding, in His final Book. Has one already read the book of Revelation and all the scary stuff hidden inside of it? The point is, regardless of how one chooses to interpret His words, in the end, one remains still lost UNTIL IT IS FINALLY REVEALED. This is the point of Revelation. He makes Himself known to the world; the final act, before He closes the Book. For He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
So, regardless of whether one has knowledge of Him or not, He is still going to reveal Himself. This is His Story. This is History. Man is still resting inside History. Man still rests in His Story. It is for man then to decide whether he wants to learn more about His Creator, the One who is still making and transforming man to be in His image and likeness.
So, now I choose the path that man, indeed, wants to learn about His Maker. For this is the reason for the many questions. The questions are the gateway for man to progress in understanding the things he just does not understand. Prayer is the gateway to open Heaven’s doors and to start engaging in thoughts and word with His Creator.
But of course, it is not just a question and answer box, a genie in the bottle, or some AI assisted device. This is God, Maker of all heaven and earth. And in Jesus, this is God in Man, our Heavenly Father. He is as a Man. He therefore has personality. He is Spirit! So, then, one must engage in a relationship with the Father, such that more knowledge of Him be poured out into the one searching. Man engages in a relationship with his Father.
But now I ask myself, how does one conduct their relational affairs? Well, in all relations, there is always the element of curiosity. There is something mysterious about someone and another tries to unravel that one’s mystery. How does he do it? By asking questions. The fact that one asks questions, it highly suggests that there is some curiosity that needs to be satisfied. When one receives a response, he receives more knowledge about that one and so has grown more closely in relationship to the one who he relates with. So too, is it with the relationship that one holds with the Father.
To ask more = to know more = to become more enlightened
That is, to know more is to grow more sensitive towards the Father’s presence. For He is the Light.
The real question is a question of sensitivity.
Can one sense the Father’s presence?
Can one determine the Father’s Spirit?
Let me put it another way. When a bird rests its body on a much larger creature than itself, consider the larger creature remaining still in its place for many days that may run into weeks. The resting bird might think to itself, it is only the ground that it is resting on. But then one day, this large creature decided to wake up from hibernation over the winter’s end and begins to move. Perhaps, the bird may think it is only just an earthquake. But then eventually, the large creature will reveal itself to be more than just the ground. As the creature reveals more and more of itself with time, the bird grows in sensitivity to realize it is not only the floor that is moving. It is the same as understanding how one may perceive the world.
God is in everything and everything is in God, for He is God of all possibilities. And He is One.
It is only a matter of time until the Truth, though buried and hidden in the world of lies, reveals Himself to all mankind.
His mysteries span through the depths of all eternity. His vastness too much to take hold of.
So then, since all is not yet revealed, it must mean that there is still some more that remains hidden that needs to be revealed. The Discoverer works to re-learn his life through the washing by the Word of God to help him uncover the greatest Truth for Himself.
So, he needs to start asking the right questions for himself.
If I flip back to the pages of my life, while seeded in medical school and in my years of training, I carried with me one skill that I learnt to develop and use so that I can obtain information that most closely depicted or represented the statement of another. I may not be the best speaker, or even a speaker at all, but one thing that I certainly indulged in was incorporating my sense of interest; asking the questions to build the story of one’s life. This was the best part of my training, the part that I enjoyed the most; asking the questions. Now, I test this skill to try to generate or build a sifter of sorts that may help one to organize his questions in such a way that the answers may carry him closer to his truth. This is my challenge! Let’s Play.

I may not be the best speaker, or even a speaker at all, but one thing that I certainly indulged in was incorporating my sense of interest; asking the questions to build the story of one’s life. Now, I test this skill to try to generate or build a sifter of sorts that may help one to organize his questions in such a way that the answers may carry him closer to his truth. This is my challenge! Let’s Play.
Above all else, Attitude
I think to myself. Before any question can be asked. There is something that I always noticed before opening my mouth in front of the person who I am going to talk to. They immediately take note of my presence. People observe you. They watch your demeanor. They size you up. This is fact. It is sure and true. The first step to any encounter is observation. Disposition and Attitude is everything. Why is it so? Because persons think about who they are going to trust and so they determine at first glance, if they are willing to open up or not. They observe whether you are happy, sad, angry or argumentative, serious or nonchalant. They observe everything. So, it is when one first opens the Word, as he begins to read. He is reading the Word. But the Word is also reading Him. There is a face to face interaction happening, when one opens the Book of Life. It may not be apparent to the reader at first glance, but the Word is Spirit and very much alive. Be careful then, what one does when he opens the Scripture, for the Word Himself is watching. Take note!
So, then, one must approach the Word with a level of respect and reverence. He is King and his children must respect His ways. He is also Father, and so, much honour must be given to Him.
So, it is possible to approach the Word and receive no answer. For He commands respect, before He even begins to open His mouth.
I therefore point to Psalm 119 which highlights so much, the importance of his commands. Read it. this Psalm seems to be the center piece to help understand God's way in dealing with man. For the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. Before one begins to engage with the King, He first insists on obeying or observing his House rules, served in His Book of laws. One must observe His laws, if he is to begin engagement with the King. Just as one observes the laws of a land.
Another point to make under the dimension of attitude is gaining the understanding that one must work for and work through the answer. On immediate questioning, it is most natural to not receive a clear answer. There is still more to be interpreted, when one answers. When viewing through the microscope or lens of this world, it is so much harder to understand spiritual response with earthly meanings. There are two different languages being spoken in one conversation. It is mandatory to know that man needs to work through the response in order to receive the response that he is more likely to understand. This is crucial! So, even though man asks, be sure to realize that even when a response is given, it may not be interpreted in a way that man can naturally understand.
Truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and we witness to the things we have seen, but you don’t accept our testimony. If you don’t believe when I speak of earthly things, what then, when I speak to you of heavenly things? No one has ever gone up to heaven except the one who came from heaven, the Son of Man. (John 3: 11-13)
Faith is the currency that allows for conversion in understanding. One understands by faith. It is by faith, that one begins to understand. One needs faith credits to even begin to understand all that is pouring out from the Father’s mouth. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God over and over again. This is already understood. So, before any questions can be posed, one must be postured towards God’s Word, hearing his Word over and over again, until faith is credited to his being, and some fruit of understanding is being formed inside of him.
A Note to Remember
God is objective. One asks and He answers, once asked in His Name. That is to say, that one must be careful what one asks, for the Father is reading his child piercing through the heart to read the motives and intentions of that child. By what his child asks, the Father can perceive that child’s true desire and intention. As you read the Word, the Word is reading you. Life is but a reflection!
Now I dive into a few dimensions to help generate a question sifter. Of course, many questions may be asked, but it is important to sift through the ones that may take that one in search of truth to a much more intimate space with the Father. I use the assistance of my Inner Teacher to help guide me to generate the sift.
1. A question of Interest
Does the answer to the question fall in line with His Will? Does the question intersect with His own interest? Is the question specific enough such that it generates a much meaningful response? Does the question help to flesh out His main vision and objectives? Does the answer to the question seek to satisfy his overarching mission?
2. A question of Voice Recognition
Does the question help to determine the Father’s voice? Does the answer to the question provide more insight to establish personal ways of hearing His voice? Does the answer to the question bring confidence and precision in hearing the voice of God? Does the answer to the question help to solidify the best ways in which one’s questions are being heard?
3. A question of Boundaries
Is it a question to bring about greater understanding of His Script? Does the question serve to explore His thoughts in more depth? Does one gain more insight into what He is thinking? Dos the question help to clarify any obscurities of understanding? Does the question seek to explore the best modes of communication for greatest understanding and interpretation?
4. A question of Character Definition
Does the question help to bring out His character? Does one learn His more specific traits and attitudes about Him? Does the question serve to elicit understanding of his position on a particular topic or action? Does the question help that one to see more of Him in a more practical or tangible way?
5. A question of Service
Does the question help to reveal all that the Father wishes for his children? Does the question help reveal all what is provided for by His Spirit? Does the question help to tap into the promises that the Father wants to grant His children?
6. A question of Relational Maintenance
Does the question help to reveal what displeases the Father? Does the answer to the question help in understanding what can be done to help mitigate risk of losing contact with the Father. Does the question seek to explore how best one may remain close to the Father?
7. A Matter of Response
A relationship is bidirectional in nature. The Father is willing to do certain things for His children. But He also hopes certain things from His children. Does the question serve to highlight his communication needs? Does the question help that one in search to know what the Father seeks? Does the question search out how to love more through the Father’s eyes?
8. A question of Belief
Does the question seek to help in growing one’s belief in the Father? Does the answer to the question help to grow one’s faith? Does the question help take the one from the earthly realm, to the Heavenly Father’s Sanctuary? Does the question help explain how to adhere to what He says? Does the question help to nurture a higher level of intimacy with the Father? Would the answer to the question help that one to trust more and more in the Lord each day?
9. A question of Habit Building
Does the question seek to explore strategies and tactics to help manage change in one’s attitudes and behaviour? Does the question help to break down reasoning in helping to change one’s habits? The Father is more than willing to change aspects of His child. One is only called to say the word and He will do it. Just ask.

God is real and is found in everything and everything is found in God. It is for that one, then, to truly open his eyes to begin to see the world through the lens of Christ, that is, through the lens of the Word of God. His signature is everywhere and in everything. It is only a matter to start looking and searching with the whole heart and the whole mind. In this point in time, God wants to be found by his children. He leaves a door open to allow His children to start talking back to Him, as it was in the beginning. All one must simply do is ask, and he would be surprised to learn how speedily God is willing to provide the answers he is searching for.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matthew 7: 7,8)
For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. (Luke 8: 17)
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10: 27, 28)
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (John 14: 26)
------------------------------------------
Who hides behind the veil of this world?
Who is it?
Who is He?
My Father is both a revelation and a mystery,
Depending on which way I choose to look.
He is the Author of Life who starts and finishes His Book.
For me, He is the Greatest of Life’s Unfolding.
The Beginning and the End, He is my Lord, my Life, my Saviour and King.
