|| Life's Perception
The stories we tell ourselves, the many lies lived out each day help to form impressions taken as snapshots for the mental pictures of our mind. We go on thinking, that many things did indeed go on that day, yet only a fraction of truth was actually shown. We live our lives with the fragments of truth, relying on the mind to bind those tiny fragments to somehow make sense of the whole. Yet all we truly see is still just a tiny piece of the whole world.
We rob ourselves of truly immersing into the vulnerable steps of a relation. For it shows how ignorant we truly are, being caught up in our own limitations of our understanding of the world. For we are given one spectacle to gaze through and not another. How foolish then can it be to spend time thinking that somehow one can see through what was not deemed his spectacle. For its owner has his standard and specification that allows him to see through his eyes.
Always, when we try to assume the view of another, we go on to distort our own sight. For we mingle in the refractive errors when trying to superimpose one impression over another. We distort the picture. Reserve then, the thoughts of another to be just that; the thoughts of another. Let us not violate the boundaries that which are just and lawful unto another through the pre-manipulation or changing of what we do in the supposed foreknowing of how another may react. It steals the dynamism and spontaneity, but even more importantly, stubbornly blinds the beautiful evolution of a true relation as it unfolds quite gracefully right before your very eyes.
Let us not make our own pre-perceptions steal or cancel out the natural quality of a relation, that is, the way one relates to another. For it is in this vulnerability can one authentically immerse oneself more fully into life’s true perception.
