|| A Short Note on Love
I thought for a while, who am I to make notes on love; the novice and inexperienced one.
But I take not for granted my life’s history and all that love has taught me along the way.
Through my eyes, I see the beginning of love as that what belongs to and embodies the very essence of our Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ.
He may harden one’s heart.
Or can make one’s heart molten to be moulded by the Potter’s hand.
He has the power to do this.
Through this love, I can do brave things. I gain courage to do things I never even thought possible.
I am reminded of his goodness and thoughtfulness.
Love corrects and guides.
He has taught me that I can get to share in his love and pocket of joy in the very simple acts of life. For example, when engaging in study, I get to share my thoughts with him as He shares with me inspiration and ideas. It is through this communion, I experience great wealth just by being in His presence.
I used to think that love comes from a person or even a thing, or even the act of doing that thing. I was wrong. What I learn now is that all love that is good and pleasing and acceptable comes directly from Him, because He is love. He is both the giver and keeper of love, for whom I view as the Source and guardian of love. Without God, there is no love.
As I ponder on such things, I grow mindful to be a respecter of love; knowing that it is a precious gift given by God, to be used, nurtured and grown in order to carry out His will for my life.
