Welcome to my Blog: La Vid Sana Five years ago, I started a journey to gain physical strength and wellness. At that time, it seemed impossible for me to reach these life goals and my confidence reached an all time low. In the early phase of this journey, I have enjoyed the small triumphs that I acquired as a result of making minor changes to my diet and physical activity but still, it wasn’t enough change being made before I can genuinely experience the internal and external transformation.
It was only until about two years ago, when I visited Barcelona for short-term studies that I really experienced first hand how food and physical activity were so closely ingrained and connected to health. It was at this point when I started to pay attention more closely to what I consumed and the activities that I participated in and adopt this new lifestyle, that I felt great bursts of energy and enthusiasm for life. This greatly inspired me to think about food as not just a snack or a meal to fulfill hunger, but a means to a healthy lifestyle. I was greatly enchanted by the wide variety of natural options laid bare for consumption in the local food markets. The insights gained, along with the results obtained from adopting a lifestyle inspired by the Mediterranean food, drink and activity have triggered me to start this new journey of exploration into the science behind the food and physical activity and the beneficial effects that they can provide to the body, which I share here on this blog.
